Heather Humphreys is an Irish Fine Gael politician.[1] She was elected at the 2011 general election as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Cavan–Monaghan constituency.[2]
From Aghabog near Newbliss in County Monaghan, Humphreys was co-opted on to Monaghan County Council in 2003 and was twice re-elected in 2004 and 2009.[3] In 2009, Humphreys was elected as Mayor of Monaghan County Council.[4] She was previously Chair of the Council's Strategic Policy Committee on Planning and Economic Development.
Humphreys was educated at St Aidan's Comprehensive School in Cootehill, County Cavan. She worked for a number of years with Ulster Bank. Prior to her election to Dáil Éireann she was Manager of Cootehill Credit Union.
